Marie Laveau's Tomb

They say she was a voodoo queen. I have been wondering for a long time why the tomb of a former mayor, Dutch Morial, sits next door to her tomb. I wonder if this will be the final resting place of Marc Morial, Dutch's son who was also Mayor. Some visitors try to scratch an X in her tomb - a voodoo thing, but it is against the law and the archdiocese probably ain't too wild about that kind of thing in their famous St. Louis Cemetery #1. BTW, for the sake of safety, only visit this spot in daylight with a large group. This is actually two blocks outside of the French Quarter.
