Take the "Scenic Route along Highway 90 between New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast
and you can visit Fort Pike. Admission to this Louisiana State Park is about $2.00.
There is a public boat launch adjacent to the fort.

Stand on the wall and look down into the fort and see the lake and the Rigoletes Bridge.
